Pellet BBQ Masterclass with Lance Rosen

When Lance Rosen, launched Big Boy BBQ in 2011 pioneering American Low & Slow BBQ in Melbourne he was recognised as one of the top food innovators in this town.

 

Naturally a book had to follow and the culmination of Lance’s many travels abroad BBQ road tripping is “Temples of BBQ” which won the coveted award for Best BBQ cookbook in the World in 2016.

 

Lance is also a respected and highly ranked BBQ competitor who has competed since the very first Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) BBQ competition here in Australia. Lance is also a certified BBQ judge who has judged competitions in the USA and sits on the Board of Advisors for the KCBS International Committee. 

 

Lance cooks on a variety of smokers on a regular basis from an American made offset, drum smokers, kettles and pellet smokers of which he owns and has cooked on many different brands of bbqs.

 

The course is suited to backyard beginners and introducing pellet grills, will run for 3 ½ hours and cooked on Yoder YS640 and Louisiana LG900 and GMG Daniel Boone so attendees can experience the different bbqs. Lance’s book Temples will be available on the day to purchase and have autographed by the man himself and there will be great stories from some of his BBQing travels in the USA.

 

This event is a great way to learn about Pellet Grills and Low & Slow American style BBQ in a relaxed atmosphere with an experienced BBQ Pitmaster with course notes and tastings. Priced at $220 which includes GST, food and light refreshments.
