pple Butter BBQ Sauce started at home with 40 pounds of apples. We peeled, cored, and then simmered them with molasses, brown sugar, cinnamon and rum – to name just some of the ingredients. Our first batch was pressure-canned, just like Mom taught us, and we debuted it at BBQ competitions. It must have been good, because we won awards when we used it!
